Pay for the skill not the ML.

This is something we are hearing more from our aesthetic practitioners, who are increasingly having to justify themselves and their prices against cheaper establishments.

But what does the price really mean for you?

When you pay for a treatment, you’re not just paying for ‘a ml of filler’ or ‘3 areas of Botox” you’re paying your Dr or Nurse for their:

  • Knowledge

  • Experience

  • Skills

  • Treatment planning

  • Equipment

  • Premium products

  • Insurance

  • Endless hours of training and education

  • Tax

  • Rent

  • Aftercare and support

Just to name a few! So your treatment should be slightly more pricey than a visit to the nail salon, otherwise you have to ask yourself, where are they not spending the money?

  • Are they qualified?

  • Is the product safe?

Would you be happy to cut corners when it comes to your face?

Make it stand out

A subtle amount of filler distributed to help balance the chin, jaw and mid face of the client.

More and more often people are asking about the ‘cost’ of a treatment, but when we did a social media poll asking what the first thing people checked out in a practitioner we found that only 7 out of 55 people made the price of a treatment their first priority, where as 23 valued reputation and 24 the qualifications and experience of their practitioner.

This is very reassuring that people are starting to pay more attention to how medically qualified their practitioner is to carry out the treatment, and that they are able to deal with adverse reactions and supply the appropriate medication and drugs.

So next time you are asking, how much is my treatment?

Remember that they should be reassuringly expensive, to pay for the experience of your chosen injector, the best products on the market supplied from reputable drug companies and a result you are pleased with.

Location can also be a big indicator, if you walk into an establishment and feel like it is not set up as a clinical setting, is not clean and you do not feel safe, it is never to late to say no and walk away! Safety is key.

Can I have a package?

The short answer to this would be no. Simply because package ‘deals’ often are not appropriate for what the client actually needs, if you come in to an establishment with the idea that you will spend £200 and walk out looking like a new person, this is not a realistic goal. One amount of dermal filler will not be appropriate for each person, that is why lips are costed at one price, whether you need 0.1ml or a whole 1ml syringe, the product still needs to be opened, the outside costs need to be paid and you will be given the best result for you.

This is another reason why consultation is such an important process for us to talk about what you are hoping to achieve from your treatment and to come up with an appropriate and realistic plan that will give you the best experience with your visit.

I hope this helps give an insight into some of the behind the scenes that take place in an aesthetic clinic, and you feel better informed of what the ‘price’ of services really means,
