Anti-wrinkle injections have been praised for years as an answer to help prevent wrinkles mainly on our foreheads and around the eye area, leaving the face looking brighter, fresher and more youthful.
However most of us are not aware of the hidden benefits of anti-wrinkle injections and their other uses. Let me share some with you:

The most common non-cosmetic use for botox is Bruxism, this is commonly known as teeth grinding, which can cause jaw pain and perissatnt headaches. Historically used for cosmetic purposes, by injecting into the masseter muscle, this treatment temporally paralyses the muscle after studies show small doses reduces clenching and the accompanying tension and aches, according to the American Academy of Facial Esthetics.
By reducing the tension in the masseter muscle, it can also be very slimming for the lower face as the use of the muscle is reduced and so becomes less prominent over time, it can also be good for the health of your teeth and increase the longevity of the enamel.
Another treatment that is becoming more popular is for hyperhidrosis, which is a medical term used to describe excessive sweating. This can last between 4 and 6 months and can be life changing if you find you are constantly excessively sweating, to the point where you feel like you can’t wear certain outfits incase of marks.
This treatment works by blocking the nerve signals responsible for sweating, so by injecting into the the arm pits for example the nerves are paralysed (temporarily) and can’t signal to the sweat glands, which means no sweat!
It is also not such common knowledge that as of 2012 the NHS has been using anti-wrinkle injections to help treat chronic migraines due to it’s nerve blocking properties, however this will only be administrated via the NHS in extreme cases where no other medical solution has worked. So if you do suffer from prolonged headaches or chronic migraines, I would definitely suggest giving Tox a try!
